I was trying desperately to finish a detailed Protect Your Work guide before I have to leave for camp, but I phailed.

As you might have inferred, I'm going to sleepaway camp today for roughly 5 weeks, so I won't be around until then ;(

I'll try and give Bass and Swampert20 CuteNews accounts before I go, and hopefully they'll keep you posted with news here and there.

So before I leave, I have a favor to ask of you. That's right, not anyone else, just you. I singled YOU out.

We have a new affiliate! Safari Zone! (NOT Safari-Zone :P).

It's an awesome site run by Demeter, and it has a lot of interesting content. I love the styles (especially the blaze one) and it has really great graphics, so everyone go check the site out :) www.safari-zone.com

In other news, competition is heating up in Werewolf IV on the forums – our own global moderator Bass has been eaten and Sparrow was blamed. We have yet to see if we were right in our vote, but suspicion points to Sparrow.

Unlike a lot of Pokemon Sites' forums that I see today, this site started as a forum, so we have a lot of reeeaally active members. So, join today!

I think my next goals to finish is a Link to Us page, edit the Affiliate page to include more recently made buttons, and finish that annoying Tutorials page.

Well, I added a very detailed guide on server side includes with HTML and PHP, due to multiple user requests. I hope its helpful and if you find any errors or need any help please let me know!

YAAAY! We have reached 10,000 hits (props to Icy Guy Sky for reaching number 10,000) on the site! And, the 24th is the six month anniversary of the Spriting Shack Forums, which is how it all began!

And, this isn't even our first site. So basically, six months ago, I opened the forums, then sometime later I opened a site on FreeWebs, then I closed that and opened the site here with FreeHostia (registered on February 17th, 2008) and still after that I found a hit counter. So that's like our first two and a half months of being open, we've gotten ten thousand hits. And that's not all still!

Every affiliate we have that has a "Top Affiliates" section has listed us in that section.

Also, I just submitted the site to DMOZ – The Open Directory Project, which Google relies on heavily to rank it's search results.

We also have a Google PageRank of 1, which is a great accomplishment!

So, what do you get for all of this? Because it wasn't me, it was you guys, the ones who visit the site and without whom this place would never exist. So what's your reward?

A New Layout :DDDDD

This one's Charizard themed, although I haven't gotten around to making it the default yet. Check it out by clicking on the "F" label on the style switcher (yes, I made it spell "face" on purpose. The next layout will make it spell "faced" then "deface" then "defaced" and then I'm stuck :P).

So please, post a comment on the new layout, our six month anniversary, our ten thousand hits, or whatever you want :D
